TicoByte for April, 2014

Greetings, PC Club members!

The PC Club meeting this month will be a week late on Saturday, April 26th, at the  Pan American School in Belen at 9 AM.  The delay is due to the holidays leading up to Easter on the following day. If you come early, at 8:30, there will still be coffee and snacks available.  Bring your computer-related items and news that you would like to share or ask about.

  1. Ken will present the Treasurer's report: $2678 in the treasury with 39 paid members for 2014.

  2. We'll go around the room to hear your news and answer your questions, so be prepared.

  3. This month we're asking members to respond to a survey about their computers. Giving us the approximate age and operating system of your box(es) will help us prepare better to help you.

  4. Tio will update us on recent happenings that effect Net Neutrality. Here's what the founder of the WWW said about it.

  5. I'll talk a little bit more about the Member Forum on the club website and how it might reduce traffic on the General mailing list.

I'll also remind everyone that the Unlocator beta is over. A $5/mo charge & new DNS addresses now apply.

  6. Here are some highlights in the Web News recently:

I'll be absent this month due to travels in Texas,

Dick Sandlin
