Hello again, PC Club members,

The PC Club meeting will be on the 3rd Saturday, July 19th this month, at the Pan American School in Belen  starting at 9 AM. Coffee, snacks, and conversation will be available at 8:30.  Bring anything computer-related that you would like to ask about or share.

  1. Ken's Treasurer's report:  $2529 in the treasury with 42 paid members for 2014 and one already for 2015.

  2. As always, the microphone will go around the room to hear your news and questions.

    1. Ken: Installing his new 480GB solid-state drive (SSD)

      Also installing Ubuntu 14.04 on an extra USB hard drive and setting the BIOS such that Ubuntu will boot when the Ubuntu drive is plugged in, otherwise Windows will boot

      The club is interested in a new PA system.

    2. Chuck:  Using the Sherlybox device to have your own cloud storage.

    3. Dick fixed the website problem that was hindering accessing to members-only pages.
    4. Tio:  Windows 8 has lost market share against Win 7.

    5. Bill:  Google search on Android devices (perhaps iOS?) has added some very invasive permissions. CNET says that it relates to Google's new program to link wearable devices to smart phones.
