Tico Byte for October, 2015

Howdy, PC Club members,

The Tico Byte is late this month, but not too late! The PC Club meeting will be on the 3rd Saturday, October 17th this month (that's tomorrow!), at the Pan American School in Belen  starting at 9 AM. Coffee, snacks, and conversation will be available, as always, at 8:30.  Bring anything computer-related that you have questions about or would like to share with the group.

  1. Chuck will open the meeting and preside over club business.
    1. Ken will welcome guests and new members. [Welcome back, Ken!]

    2. Ken's Treasurer's report:  $2053.48 in the treasury with 46 paid members. Members can log in and view the details under “Club Business - Financials” on the club website.

    3. Ken will announce the 2016 Membership drive, which will run through Jan 16th. Dues: $30 or ₡16,200

    4. Ken will report on search results for an alternative meeting site.

    5. Ken will tell us about his Leaf memory gadget.

    6. Chuck will accept vetted nominations from the floor and announce Board nominees:
      Chuck Jennings (president), Ken Booth (treasurer), John Jacobs (ombudsman)

    7. Ken will be accepting purchases of Lenny's book, Dining in Costa Rica's Central Valley, for ₡2,500 each.

    8. Chuck will announce the Christmas party Sat Dec 5th. Joan and Lenny have volunteered their lovely home again this year. Paula volunteered as party chairman. Cyndy Vorih volunteered to do Turkey again this year.

    9. Chuck will ask if there is any new club business.

  2. Chuck will moderate the microphone going around the room to hear your news and questions.

    3. Dick will show a 2 min video about a new Office app: Office Sway for Windows 10 and iOS.

    4. Chuck will talk about some Win 10 caveats. (20 min)
