Tico Byte for April, 2016

Howdy, PC Club members,

The 3rd Saturday is coming up again already, this weekend. The PC Club meeting will be on April 16th this month, at the Pan American School in Belen  starting at 9 AM. Coffee, snacks, and conversation will be available, as always, at 8:30.  Bring anything computer-related that you have questions about or would like to share with the group.

  1. Chuck will open the meeting and preside over club business.
    1. Ken will welcome guests and new members.

    2. Ken's Treasurer's report is available (to members only) under Club Business - Financials on the club website.

    3. Ken will be accepting purchase of our last copy of Lenny's book, Dining in Costa Rica's Central Valley, for ₡2,500.

    4. Chuck will ask if there is any new club business.

  2. Chuck will moderate the microphone going around the room to hear your news and questions.

    1. Ken will tell us about Evernote, a handy free utility that creates notes, lists, and reminders.

    2. Chuck will talk about a new Facebook feature called automatic alternative text for the visually impaired.

    3. Bill will bring a Chromecast to demo with his cell phone to connect to the room's projector via HDMI. Ken will bring a microUSB power cable for the device.

    4. Helen will talk about sending emails by voice.

    5. Chuck will talk about new encryption for Whatsapp.

    6. Dick will show highlights of the club website.
