Tico Byte for April, 2019

Hello, PC Club members,

The 3rd Saturday is coming up again this weekend.  The PC Club meeting will be on April 20th this month, at the Pan American School in Belen starting at 9 AM.  We will be meeting in our normal room in the bottom floor of the Yellow Building, all the way to the back.  (Signs will be posted.) Coffee, snacks, & conversation will be available, as always, at 8:30.  Bring anything computer-related that you have questions about or anything you would like to share with the group.

  1. Dick will open the meeting & preside over club business.

  2. Kim's Treasurer's report:  $1535.71 in the treasury with 27 paid memberships for 2019. She will welcome guests & new members. Dues remain $30/year/family. (New members' dues are prorated to months remaining in their 1st year.)

She will also announce that she & Les will resign their positions on the Club Board (Treasurer & Vice President) effectively immediately & move back to England to help a family member who is having open-heart surgery. Les will stay in CR a little longer to close their house. She will bring the Treasurer's papers & money to pass to her successor at the meeting.

We are very grateful for the time & effort they have given to the club & we wish them well in the future. They will both remain club members in England, as their dues are paid up until the end of the year.

  3. Dick will open the floor to nominations for Treasurer & Vice President. We well elect those officers at the meeting. Then he will yield the floor to the new VP to moderate the rest of the meeting.

  4. The Vorihs will be in CR in May & we look forward to seeing them at the May club meeting. We will ask Bill to handle the question-&-answer session as the mic goes around the room in May. Perhaps Bill will mention the googlo.co malware.

  5. We will pass the microphone around the room & Dick will remind all that the meeting is being recorded, so speakers should use the microphone & say their name.
