Tico Bytes

The Tico Byte is the monthly newsletter of the PC club.  It's sent out each month a few days before the club meeting to remind members about the meeting & to give them an idea of what to expect.  It usually offers a preview of the agenda & background links to topics that might be discussed.  The Bytes are shared on the public side of the website as an invitation to interested parties who might want to attend a meeting to see what the club is like.  Our bylaws permit anyone to attend one meeting as a guest (with or without a sponsor) to see if the club might interest them.  More details about how to find our meeting in Belen (a suburb of San José) on the 3rd Saturday of every month (except December) at 9 AM can be found on the Map to the Meeting page. All of our meetings are conducted in English.

2019 V V

V = Dick was on vacation & no Tico Byte was posted for that month.

As you can see, there are a lot of Tico Bytes.  You can get a representative picture of what the club is like & how it's grown through the years by sampling Bytes in different parts of the matrix.  December Bytes are missing prior to 2011 & after 2016 because there's no club meeting in December, 'just a party.  From 2010 to 2016, the Tico-Byte editor elected to put out a December issue anyway, which was often links w/o meeting info.  Starting in 11/2012, a separate page for Web News was created to contain these monthly links.  Our archive is a bit sketchy prior to 2005.  Be advised that the volatile nature of the internet may cause some links in older Tico Bytes to no longer be valid.   If you find an error in any of the pages, please follow the link at the bottom of this page to report it.

If you have a question or comment about any of the Tico Bytes, send it to the club president.
