Tico Bytes

The Tico Byte is the monthly newsletter of the PC club.  It's sent out each month a few days before the club meeting to remind members about the meeting and to give them an idea of what to expect.  It usually offers a preview of the agenda and background links to topics that might be discussed.  The Bytes are shared on the public side of the website as an invitation to interested parties who might want to attend a meeting to see what the club is like.  Our bylaws permit anyone to attend one meeting as a guest to see if the club might fit their fancy.  More details about how to find our meeting in Belen (a suburb of San José) on the 3rd Saturday of every month (except December) at 9 AM can be found on the Map to the Meeting page.

As you can see, there are a lot of Tico Bytes.  You can get a representative picture of what the club is like and how it's grown through the years by sampling Bytes in different parts of the matrix.  The empty spot in June, 2009 is a mystery.  But the December Bytes are all missing prior to 2011 because there's no club meeting in December, 'just a party.  In recent years, the Tico-Byte editor has elected to put out a December issue anyway.  Sadly, our archive is a bit sketchy prior to 2005.  Be advised that the volatile nature of the internet may cause some links in older Tico Bytes to no longer be valid.   If you find an error otherwise in any of the pages, please follow the link at the bottom of this page to report it.

If you have a question or comment about any of the Tico Bytes, send it to the club president.
